CONSULTATION OF CULTURAL PROJECTS

Nová síť provides advice and consultations (production issues, grants, financing) services free of charge (two consultations per year) in its Prague office every Thursday and in its Brno office every Wednesday. Our services are intended for individuals, groups, cultural institutions and the broad public - not only from the independent scene, but also from the public administration.

We help both beginners and experienced promoters, artists, producers, initiators, as well as officials, politicians and other cultural actors. Consultations are usually one hour long and focus on topics such as finance, grants, production, dramaturgy, leadership, crisis management and other key areas for artists, arts groups, managers and cultural activists.

Our services are also open to beginners and recent graduates of art schools. In addition to this, we are also happy to help you move your project or career in the right direction with the New Blood on Stage programme (separate tab above).

We provide consultations in Brno on Wednesday and in Prague on Thursday.

Adris provides consultation on grant advice, cultural planning, will deal with you on HR, networking, help with international contacts and provides coaching.

→ Petr Pola
Petr will discuss grant and subsidy opportunities with you, recommend a suitable partner or place for your project/event and advise you on the concept, dramaturgy, programme.

→ Marketa Hrdlička Málková
Markéta specializes mainly in the field of contemporary dance. She can advise you on residencies, cultural event planning, dramaturgy, risk management, well being and grant literacy. She can provide consultation on Wednesday mornings or Thursdays.

→ Barbora Kunstovná
Bára provides consultations in the field of grant system, technical and festival production. She is also happy to advise on the day-to-day running of a cultural organisation.

→ Aneta Hladovcová
Aneta provides consultations on project management, financial planning, and matters related to international networking.

→ Ondřej Wald
Ondřej consults on grant and non-grant fundraising. He provides support to individuals, organizations and specific projects - helping with financial strategy, selecting appropriate funding sources and setting up a sustainable support model. He provides consultations on Thursdays.

COACHING OF CULTURAL PROJECTS
Coaching takes many forms depending on the type of project, its focus, the composition and size of the team. Projects contact us when they are facing a serious problem that requires third-party assistance. Not infrequently, coaching teeters on the edge of "cultural therapy". There are more of these projects that we coach each year, but professional ethics lead us not to name them here.

EDUCATION
Throughout the year we announce seminars on specific topics, group consultation sessions or educate individually. We post regularly on our social media channels.

We are also involved in CULTURAL ADVOCACY especially in the field of live art. We are approached by local and state government and municipalities. We try to pass on the experience of the so-called terrain and our daily contact with live art and its actors.

Nová síť Consultation and Advice Code of Practice

To ensure a professional and transparent consultation process, we follow the following principles:

1️⃣ Consultation focus
Our consultations are related to the cultural sector, with a particular focus on theatre, dance and independent culture. We consult in the areas of production, funding, grant opportunities, international collaboration and strategic development of organisations and arts projects.

2️⃣ Length and format of consultations
Each consultation lasts 60 minutes and is conducted in person, online or by telephone as individually agreed.

3️⃣ Confidentiality of information
All information shared during consultations is confidential and is not shared further. The exception to this is in cases where there would be a threat to life or other serious danger.

4️⃣ Consultation price
-The first two consultations are provided free of charge.
-Each additional consultation is offered at a subsidized price of 400 CZK/hour (60 minutes).

5️⃣ Responsibility and scope of advice
Our consultations are professional advice but do not replace legal, tax or accounting services. In case of specific needs, we will recommend suitable professionals or organisations.

6️⃣ Support in challenging situations
If necessary, we have a crisis interventionist on our team who can provide basic support in mentally challenging situations or recommend further professional help.
