ART-IN-RES & CZECH CENTRES RESIDENCY PROGRAMME
Service organization for culture Nová síť z. s. extends its long-standing cooperation with the Czech Centres, a contributory organization of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, this time in the field of residencies. In 2024, they are jointly implementing a pilot residency programme in the field of performing arts abroad.
Five residencies will be supported for Czech professionals working in the field of contemporary theatre, dance and other related performance genres in Bulgaria, France, Poland, Greece and Serbia. For each country there is a separate call with specific conditions reflecting the possibilities of the partner organisation.

To promote international mobility and networking
To develop the competences of residents in order to strengthen their knowledge and skills
To provide an opportunity to create and present themselves in an inspiring environment of selected European countries
To establish new relationships and collaborations suitable for their artistic development and professional life

CONDITIONS OF THE PROGRAMME:
The programme is not intended for music, visual arts, film or literature.
The call is open to applicants with Czech citizenship or permanent residence in the Czech Republic. An exception may be granted to a foreigner working within a Czech artistic collective.
The residency includes at least 1 public output, e.g. presentation, artist-talk, work-in-progress preformance, open air public intervention, etc.
The communication language of the residency is English.
One project can be submitted to a maximum of 2 open calls.
As a condition of the residency, a final report and photographs must be submitted no later than 30 days after the end of the residency, which will then be published on the ART-IN-RES and Czech Centres website.
Czech Centres will provide accommodation and creative facilities to the selected resident(s) through a partnership agreement in cooperation with a local partner organisation.
Nová síť will pay the selected resident(s) a contribution to the costs of transport and daily expenses in advance through a mandatory agreement.
HOW TO APPLY:
Please apply to the program via APPLICATION FORM.
The form includes: a brief description of the project or the intention of the residency, the production team, a professional CV or portfolio, technical requirements and a brief cover letter.
The language of the application is English (grammatical correctness will not be considered)
Submitted applications will be assessed and selected by an international expert committee (representatives of the partner organisation, Czech Centres and Nová síť).
